True Blue

Sort of an interesting concept before I got into killing it with the colouring. I think it probably could've used some inks or something at some point. Oh well. Eventually I might redo this with more structure. I also got a new scanner that is making everything a bit grainy. It's frustrating.

13

Somebody requested that I draw some more Szczesny, and I gotta admit... I had a lot of fun with this one. I sort of did a crap job editing it but I think the sketch is good enough. I also ran out of red so I had to use a sort of deeper red colour.

Bond

I'm starting to notice that the worse my mental state the better my drawings are. This is sort of another release. I might end up turning this into a painting of sorts, because I'm very fond of the sketch.

16

Obviously I've been having too much fun drawing these. I really enjoy the sketching style even though my markers are on average too small to get any face detail in so likeness is difficult. You gotta love Rambo!

4

Decided to do another one. This one doesn't have as much likeness, but I really like the movement. Watching Per Mertesacker run is amazing!

6

I've been doing a lot of straight marker sketches lately and I've been really enjoying it. I am decently happy with how this came out. the six looks a little odd in the background though. I think I might draw Koscielny too much haha.

Blue Beetle and Booster Gold

Just a quick marker sketch. I figured I should draw these two in their usual gettup instead of my dumb street redesigns. One of these days I'll do some real artwork again.

Emma and Jayden

My sister and her boyfriend were kind enough to pose for me since I have been on a roll with the marker portraits as of late. I'm decently happy with how this came out.

The start of the 100 self portraits challenge

Today marks the start of my journey through 100 self portraits. Many artists have done this exercise and I'm finally ready to try it out myself. Don't worry, I won't be posting a hundred pictures on here and clogging up your internet with images of my face. I will be working on them and submitting the final product (hopefully by the end of this semester). If all goes well and I can get through it quickly, I may even do the 1,000 self portrait challenge. We'll see how this pans out!

Lazy Grey

I'm not super happy with how this came out, but considering I was somewhat distracted and didn't have a pencil on me, it came out pretty well. Sketching with pen allows me to be looser, when I figure I need quite a bit.

Tree Spirit

The meds I've been on for my oral surgery have been messing with my drawing ability. This is the only thing I've really managed to draw in the past couple of days. I start my spring classes tomorrow and am hoping I can get back on track sometime soon so I can be more productive with my art than last semester. Anyway, this is sort of a weird concept I had for a man having contact with a tree spirit. Not sure if I'm happy with how it turned out.

Male Gestures

A couple of quick gestures I did last semester in my life drawing class. The first one was done during an actual 3 minute pose and the second one was done while the model was sitting and reading. I had more marker gestures that I really liked, but I can't seem to find them.

Lupe

Coloured this piece as well. I am overall happy with how it came out. The colours oddly remind me of the Vladimir Virgin ( not that I'm comparing the two art pieces in ANY way). Anyway, I do love Lupe Fiasco and his music has been a huge influence in my art over the years.

Russian Protest

I finally got around to colouring that sketch of mine. I am actually very fond of this. I used a the colour scheme of the Russian flag. I think this has a very powerful force, which is what I was going for. Even when being arrested, protesters have great power.

Punk sketch

A sketch I did awhile back using the side of the pencil. I need to sketch more like this.

Calvin Harris sketch

Been listening to his music for a good 3 years now. Still love him to pieces. This is a sketch I did awhile back. It  doesn't look much like him. Oh well.

Open

Once again I am at a total loss for what to title this. Have my shitty title. This is a watercolour sketch I did awhile back.

Sculpture study

A study I did at some point before finals. It got buried in a pile of drawings I will be posting today, so I apologize for the spam. Anyway, I am not very happy with this since it looks nothing like the actual Roman sculpture I was using as a reference. It was a good practice though and I think I might try to do it again.

Lungs

Trying out some new techniques. I'm happy with some parts of this piece, but I think the concept is a little muddled. It sort of just looks like he's wearing a hoodie with a print of bleeding lungs instead of him actually having bleeding lungs. Ah well. Hopefully I can execute it better in the future.

Moscow

Trying my hand at more landscape type stuff. It feels really odd. I will keep trying.

Camille

Still trying to branch out and do more work in drawing women and more active poses. I'm decently happy with how this came out. This is a drawing of athlete Camille Leblanc-Bazinet. She's quite beautiful.

Kimbra

A sketch of Kimbra, my future wife. But in all seriousness, I need work on getting likeness of women. Although it came out okay, it doesn't look much like her. I'll have to keep working at that.

Water Demon

I was really excited about this one, but once again my inking skills pretty much killed it.  The sketch was much more fluid and flowing. It feels very heavy how that it's been coloured. I may redo this later.

Internet Addiction

The concept for this is far from original. In fact, I think I've probably about 3 other art pieces with the same idea of the hands coming from the computer. Anyway, I am just trying to branch out by drawing more objects and odd poses. I might eventually turn this into a full blown coloured thing, but for now it is nice as a sketch. The only real thing that bothers me about this is how long the upper arm of the guy is. Oh well.

Lycanthrope

I am sort of a closet werewolf fan. And I'm not talking about those pansy ass ones from Twilight. Anyway, in my opinion the transformation is the most interesting part and of course, the most painful. Anyway, I'm decently happy with how this came out. I'm getting the hang of inking. I'm not happy with the legs though. They look pretty off.

Shot

I've been feeling a bit off lately, and I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I worked very hard on this, but I'm sad to say I'm not completely happy with it. The last panel lacks purpose and proper posing and frankly just looks... awkward. I'm really happy with the top panel though. I am going to try to start practicing doing full comic pages more often.

Jag Kampen

Just a quick sketch. I'm trying to get back into the swing of inventing again. After using a lot of references over the semester, I've gotten rusty with inventing. I like the idea and might try to colour it later.

Smoke Break

I am seriously bored enough to go through the trouble of colouring this ridiculous sketch of Street Beetle and Street Booster. I really need to get a life. Anyway, I'm sure the only reason why I find this amusing is because it's late and I need sleep. Oh well.

The Harbor is Yours

I really need to think of better titles. Right now I'm just stealing song titles I like. Anyway, it feels good to get back to using markers again. It is much more natural for me to work with them. I don't think I'll be doing anything digitally for awhile. Anyway, this is my attempt at something different. I am trying to draw more females, and including different elements. I think this is a successful piece despite the hands looking odd.
