Tree Spirit

The meds I've been on for my oral surgery have been messing with my drawing ability. This is the only thing I've really managed to draw in the past couple of days. I start my spring classes tomorrow and am hoping I can get back on track sometime soon so I can be more productive with my art than last semester. Anyway, this is sort of a weird concept I had for a man having contact with a tree spirit. Not sure if I'm happy with how it turned out.

Russian Protest

I finally got around to colouring that sketch of mine. I am actually very fond of this. I used a the colour scheme of the Russian flag. I think this has a very powerful force, which is what I was going for. Even when being arrested, protesters have great power.

Protest

I've recently been looking through the photos of the protests going on in Russia. I was taken by the look of pride and accomplishment in each of the protesters faces, even when they were being arrested. To show my respect I decided to do a sketch of one. I'm decently happy with it.

Children

I can't think of another title. I found another fantastic reference picture of children in Russian military uniforms. It was a very interesting photo that stayed with me. It was also a chance to try out my hand at drawing children for once. Decently happy with how it came out.

Russian Soldier

Found an old war photo on the web. I decided to do a loose ink drawing with it. I think it came out decently. I'm slowly learning how to work backgrounds into my pieces. Anyway, Russian history is definitely interesting. Even if I don't fully understand it.
