House Sitting (redone)

I've decided in order to get through the next couple of weeks (finals) I am just going to be finishing or redoing drawings that I've never gotten around to doing. It's a way for me to combat not having any inspiration as of late. Anyway, I thought it might be fun to show the sketch, the inks and then finally the finished colours. Now some of you might see what I mean when I say I liked the sketch more than the finished work haha.

Emma and Jayden

My sister and her boyfriend were kind enough to pose for me since I have been on a roll with the marker portraits as of late. I'm decently happy with how this came out.

Tree Spirit

The meds I've been on for my oral surgery have been messing with my drawing ability. This is the only thing I've really managed to draw in the past couple of days. I start my spring classes tomorrow and am hoping I can get back on track sometime soon so I can be more productive with my art than last semester. Anyway, this is sort of a weird concept I had for a man having contact with a tree spirit. Not sure if I'm happy with how it turned out.

Male Gestures

A couple of quick gestures I did last semester in my life drawing class. The first one was done during an actual 3 minute pose and the second one was done while the model was sitting and reading. I had more marker gestures that I really liked, but I can't seem to find them.

Nathan

A classmate of mine kindly allowed me to take a photo to use as a reference. This was a very good practice in both perspective and hands. I'm not particularly happy with the how the hands ended up turning out, but I think the rest of it came out alright.

Cashback

A piece done after a screenshot of one of my favourite movies. I realized that it's about the time that I need to work on more portfolio pieces with backgrounds and perspective. The perspective got away from me on a few areas as well as the colors on the shampoo bottles (I used the wrong markers). Anyway, I worked really hard on this one and I think it payed off. Done in Prismacolor markers and pencil.

Comic page

It's only about half done. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it. I love it to pieces.
Art by me.

Also, my 18th birthday is on Thursday. Yaaay!
