Sharpie Tattoo

Excuse the phone pictures, I know they aren't of the best quality. Here's a sharpie tattoo I did for a friend a couple days ago. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I used regular sharpies and freehanded a design on the arm based on an old artwork of Android Jones. I will probably be doing more of these in the future.

Arsenal sketches: Sebastien Squillaci and Jack Wilshere

Continuing on with my challenge to draw all of the Arsenal players in order of their player number. Here's players #18 and #19. I could not for the life of me get the likeness of Squillaci. After redrawing his sketch around 7 times I finally gave up and decided to make do with the best I could manage. I'm decently happy with Wilshere's.

Arsenal sketches: Aaron Ramsey and Alex Song

Still continuing on with my challenge to draw all of the Arsenal players in order of player number. Here is players #16 and #17. I'm pretty happy with how these two came out. I had some trouble with Ramsey's eyes but I will get more likeness when I run through all the sketches with color.

Some other things.

It's becoming painfully obvious to me that I post entirely too much on this blog. But it really is helping me keep track of my progress and give me deadlines, so I'm going to keep on with it. I apologize to my followers if I post too much. First is a marker work I did awhile back, I found it today and really liked the lighting on it so I decided to scan it and post it. Second is a watercolor piece I did recently trying to emulate a sort of Sean Gordon Murphy style. I wasn't very successful.

Arsenal sketches: Theo Walcott and Denilson

Continuing on with my arsenal sketches. Here's players #14 and #15. I'm decently happy with these even though my scanner screwed up one of Walcott's eyes. I'm getting better and quicker with the sketches. I'm seeing lots of improvement. It's exciting to get such good results just by taking on a sketch project. Stay tuned for Ramsey tomorrow!

Arsenal sketches: Robin van Persie and Carlos Vela

Photobucket
Photobucket

And I'm back to the daily Arsenal sketches after taking the weekend off! Here is players #10 and #11. I had a lot of fun with these but I'm not terribly happy with the likeness. I also put a watermark back to this site. I also put watermarks on all of the sketches just in case. It'll help get more traffic back to the site.

P.S. Blogspot is acting strange and not letting me upload photos to it directly so I put the photobucket html code instead. Sorry for the large size.

Bastian Schweinsteiger colored

Decided to do some more color practice with markers. I've gotten a bit rusty. I can't say I'm completely happy with this. I am still absolute shit at inking. Oh well.

Arsenal sketches: Tomas Rosicky and Samir Nasri

Still continuing on with my challenge to draw all of the Arsenal players in order of player number. Here is players #7 and #8. I'll be perfectly honest, I am not very happy with how these two turned out. I'd say I'm more happy with the Nasri sketch than the Rosicky one. After redoing these several times I decided it was just time to make do. My scanner washed a lot of the shading out so it makes them look even more generic and flat. I'm hoping to get more likeness when I go through with color and inks.

Arsenal sketches: Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny

Still continuing on with my challenge to draw all of the Arsenal players in order of player number. Here is players #5 and #6. I was really excited to draw Koscielny and I'm quite happy with how his sketch came out. He's another one of my favorite players. These are of course rough sketches. After I finish through all of the players I will be coloring and inking them.

Aaron Ramsey marker sketch

After a very disappointing couple of days it's nice to get back to marker sketches. I half forgot how much I love to use them. Here's Azza being a badass. I'm not that happy with a few things but it's decently solid. More Arsenal sketches tomorrow.

Arsenal sketches: Bacary Sagna and Cesc Fabregas

Continuing on with my challenge to draw all of the Arsenal players in order of player number. Here is players #3 and #4. I had quite a bit of trouble with Sagna's sketch at first but after redoing the sketch several times I am finally happy with it. Each sketch is about an inch and a half so they're quite small and difficult to draw.

Arsenal sketches: Manuel Almunia and Abou Diaby

I have decided to start challenging myself to draw different types of faces and features. So as a project I will be drawing each Arsenal player in order of their numbers. So to kick things off here is players #1 and #2. I'm fairly happy with these but hope to get more likeness in the future.

Henri Lansbury Sketch

I've been drawing a lot of football (soccer) players recently. Henri Lansbury is definitely one of my favorites. Definitely getting back on my game with my art recently.
