here's some sketches from my sketchbook this semester all done in marker. I like how a lot of them came out.

Koscielny Heading

Gonna be drawing some more football now! I had a lot of fun with this one. Action is the funnest thing to draw.

Rain at the Train Stop

I need to draw more of what I see when I'm travelling. I love drawing things that I see.

Header

A sketch I did that I really liked. Might take it to the finish eventually.

trying out canson marker paper. It absorbs differently but it is very nice that the paper is transparent so you can see your sketch underneath. I like it but it will take a bit to get used to.

Russian Protest

I finally got around to colouring that sketch of mine. I am actually very fond of this. I used a the colour scheme of the Russian flag. I think this has a very powerful force, which is what I was going for. Even when being arrested, protesters have great power.

Water Demon

I was really excited about this one, but once again my inking skills pretty much killed it.  The sketch was much more fluid and flowing. It feels very heavy how that it's been coloured. I may redo this later.

MetacLeod

A late birthday present for a really good friend of mine. He's basically my brother. Anyway, I was trying to make it flowing and more gestural so I went straight into inking. I think it paid off even though the hand looks a little off.

Nathan

A classmate of mine kindly allowed me to take a photo to use as a reference. This was a very good practice in both perspective and hands. I'm not particularly happy with the how the hands ended up turning out, but I think the rest of it came out alright.

Cashback

A piece done after a screenshot of one of my favourite movies. I realized that it's about the time that I need to work on more portfolio pieces with backgrounds and perspective. The perspective got away from me on a few areas as well as the colors on the shampoo bottles (I used the wrong markers). Anyway, I worked really hard on this one and I think it payed off. Done in Prismacolor markers and pencil.

Kampen

A sort of revamp of a picture I did over the summer. Some of you may remember it. I'm semi happy with it. I think the hands look funky but the posing is nice. I think I liked the sketch better, but oh well. Glad to get some more venting artwork out there.

Street Beetle

This is an old design/concept I did for Blue Beetle a few years back. I thought it was a good design so I decided to redo it now that I can draw male anatomy a bit better. I can't say I'm super happy with how it came out. I need to buy a new set of markers with more tones.

Aaron Ramsey (markers)

I can't say I'm super happy with how this turned out. I really liked the sketch and I just don't think it translated as well as it could have. It's been a looong time since I've done grayscale in markers. Oh well.

Bouncing Bomb

Here's some non-Arsenal related art. The first one is an old sketch I did that is inspired by the Taurus Zodiac sign. I have been attempting to colour it for a few months now. Even after several attempts I'm not very happy with it, but at least it's done. The second is a sort concept for a football inspired superhero. I like where it's going. I'm considering naming him something like "Striker". The anatomy on both drawings is kind of wonky. I'm glad I'm at least getting practice in.

Also, the title has absolutely nothing to do with the drawings. I just couldn't think of a title so I used the title of a Twisted Wheel song.

Det Var Jag

I thought this sketch would be a good practice for coloring, and it was. I'm decently happy with how it turned out. Some things are a little funky but eh. I'm not sure if I like this or the sketch better.

Some other things.

It's becoming painfully obvious to me that I post entirely too much on this blog. But it really is helping me keep track of my progress and give me deadlines, so I'm going to keep on with it. I apologize to my followers if I post too much. First is a marker work I did awhile back, I found it today and really liked the lighting on it so I decided to scan it and post it. Second is a watercolor piece I did recently trying to emulate a sort of Sean Gordon Murphy style. I wasn't very successful.

Comic page

It's only about half done. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it. I love it to pieces.
Art by me.

Also, my 18th birthday is on Thursday. Yaaay!
