Warmup 2

Another nonsensical messy sketch to warm up for today. I might start posting more of these.

Warmup 1

Things have been busy and hectic lately. I haven't really had time to draw and today when I sat down I felt pretty rusty. I drew some nonsensical stuff just to get loose. This was one of them.

Boom

I apologize in advance if this somehow offends any of my followers. Lately I've been listening to a lot of rap and R&B just to take a break from my usual music. As a result most of my sketches have been like this. I have a collection of other ones I may finish up more like this one. I had a lot of fun doing this one.

Mertesacker

I am getting really serious about drawing every day. It really brings up my mood, especially when it's something I feel confident and familiar in such as football players. Anyway, gotta love Per! Expect some more German football players coming your way.

Injection

Something I got the idea for earlier today in class. I'm decently happy with how the sketch came out. I had to redo the hand several times but decided on something fairly simplistic. I might colour this later.

Rusty

Just a practice. I'm getting rusty with my technical drawing skills. This was mainly a focus on the feet and hands.

Punk sketch

A sketch I did awhile back using the side of the pencil. I need to sketch more like this.

Calvin Harris sketch

Been listening to his music for a good 3 years now. Still love him to pieces. This is a sketch I did awhile back. It  doesn't look much like him. Oh well.

Sculpture study

A study I did at some point before finals. It got buried in a pile of drawings I will be posting today, so I apologize for the spam. Anyway, I am not very happy with this since it looks nothing like the actual Roman sculpture I was using as a reference. It was a good practice though and I think I might try to do it again.

Contour Self Portrait

An assignment for one of my classes. I'm pretty happy with how it came out considering I rarely do any contour drawing. The weight of the line is what really pulls it together. I might colour it later.

Protest

I've recently been looking through the photos of the protests going on in Russia. I was taken by the look of pride and accomplishment in each of the protesters faces, even when they were being arrested. To show my respect I decided to do a sketch of one. I'm decently happy with it.

björn

This is sort of a stress relief type thing. I have a habit of doodling myself when I get overwhelmed. This time I really liked how it came out, so I ran with it. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

Striker (revamp)

Finally getting back in the zone with drawing again. Over winter break I plan on working on a comic about football (soccer) players. I figured redoing my original concept for a superhero type character named striker seemed like a good start. I'd be lying if I didn't say I got the inspiration for this design from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Twisted Wheel

Another one of my favourite bands. Can't say I'm terribly happy with this one. The likeness isn't quite right and neither is the perspective. Anyway, it was another good practice. One of these days I'll draw something original. Sigh.

Flick

Just a sketch I did in an attempt to get looser. I'm actually pretty happy with it. I should get messy more often.

Growl

For lack of a better title. This looks a lot more natural than a lot of my normal sketches, so I'm decently happy with it. It's also pretty creepy which is a plus.

Monkey sketch

Here's a design I did for my printmaking class. I like where it's going even though it's a little uneven. I apologize for not updating consistently, I'm still trying to get ahold of my schedule.

Daft Punk sketch

I gotta say... this came out pretty great. There are a few minor mess ups but other than that I think everything came out proportioned correctly. I love Daft Punk. Their music always gets me in the mood to draw. Enjoy!

Insomnia

A very very small sketch I did as a release. I haven't really been able to sleep for the past four days. It has not been fun. I made an attempt to make this larger and colour it, but as always it just looked like utter shit. Oh well.

Portraits

Here are some portraits I did during the week. It was a little difficult because the people I was sketching weren't really posing for me. I love how they turned out though. I think I achieved good likeness.
